Lord, thank you because today feels like a miracle
that I am sitting here as your witness beyond walls
a testimony to your goodness and mercy
and the beauty of what happens when we finally let go
and answer your calls
I was once a man who had walls all around my heart
they were made of shame, guilt and fear
keeping me in such a lonely place
bound up by the chains of my past
and always feeling last
you came to rescue my heart and say
I need you to be my witness
but first we must shatter these walls
I will place in you a new heart…
My life giving water will heal you
and the blood of Jesus will now flood
your heart clean
a flood of joy and peace beyond your imagination
so overflowing that your face
will have an unspeakable new sheen
Lord, the miracle of today is also
because there were days years ago
when I was a man who once mocked your
heavenly name…who shunned you and shamed you
and still Lord
still Lord
you said if I just stop putting up walls
and just come to repentance
that you would release me from my trying to do it
on my own life sentence
Lord you just never relented
in your endless pursuit of my heart
You were so tender as you built me back up
extending me an uncommon grace
loving me just how I was
and always seeing me for what I could be
so today I now stand here as your witness

You cleansed these lips to where they only want to shout
the name of Jesus
that it is only Jesus that heals
it is only Jesus that turns pains and wounds into scars
scars that no longer hurt
because once a wound is just a scar
it can go so far
becoming a testimony of
how you are a God of transformation
that loves us so much
just
as
we
are
So Lord, I just thank you, praise you and love you so much
with every fiber of my heart
To be a witness for you…the original miracle worker
beyond walls…truly is such a joy…so I promise
to always answer your calls
Today I pray that others listening
might feel your life giving touch
and the magnificence of your presence
so like me…your force of love might bring down their walls
where all that is left is your endless peace, love and freedom
to serve a God who leaps at the chance to restore and
redeem us
so His Holy Spirit can unlock our true purpose
because Lord you truly are a God
who always wants to complete us

I pray today that someone might finally hear
the whispers
of your wondrous calls
that it is time to surrender, come home
and become His witness
