Lord, I am under your full authority
To my beloved brother and sister, Yemi and Oyebola, and the entire Fullness team…thank you for being the spark that led to a fire…a fire that led me to become a man under the Lord’s full authority!
This Psalm was also inspired by Matthew 8:8-9,13 that says “The centurion replied, Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant shall be healed.
For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”…
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.”
Lord, I am under your
full authority
gone are the days of
hedging
expecting
waffling
and wavering
because I have new life through You
I was buried and rose again
receiving new life through You
so your promises
of full acceptance
a sound mind
and safety
have me fully
hand over
this pen to You
You are the author of my life now
as every moment is a chance to draw
closer and closer
to You
so Lord God Almighty, my heart just leaps
to proclaim
that my whole life
is under
your authority
my healing
is under
your authority
my health
is under
your authority
my provision
is under
your authority
my career
is under
your authority
the discernment of my every action and decision
is under
your authority
Lord God, you once proclaimed and promised
“Take delight in the Lord and he will give
you the desires of your heart.
Commit my way to the Lord,
trust in him and he will do this.”
So Lord, thank you for being a God
who always “does this”
for being a God who is the great promise keeper
a God who is great the Way Maker
a God who keeps His word
a God who always pursues me with grace, mercy and love
so my only response to is to delight in you Lord
to praise you higher and higher and higher
to praise you for my new found patience
to praise you for my new found love that is overflowing
to praise you for my increased childlike joy
Lord, I just CAN’T WAIT to talk about you!!!
I just can’t wait to talk about
how my new found
courage, conviction and character
can only be explained
by drawing strength
from You
More and More Lord, I just want you to know
what a joy it is
to be under your
full authority
so I must also repent for the times I try to be under
my own authority
when I rely on my own self
only to falter and crumble
seeking praise and trying to please
outside of
your authority
Lord, I am truly sorry and confess that I am
just nothing without your strength
as you said in Romans “such a person’s praise
is not from other poeple, but from God.”
So Lord, I now only seek You because I am
a man under your
full authority
I receive the fullness of your promise
the mustard seed of the faith you planted in me
is growing more and more and more
because Jesus you promised our faith could
move a mountain if we only surrender to the power
that comes being
under your
full authority
Lord Jesus you are the only “more” I want in my life
Help me lay it all your feet
More of you, more, more, more
and less of me
Because I am here Lord
just waiting on your return
I am no longer an expectant man
I am an “it’s done” man
the faith and new conviction in my heart
can only be explained by You
so please, please, please know that I am always
available to You
I will never be silent
and will always return all glory
to You
Lord Jesus, today I just want you to know
how much I love You
that You will always be
my first priority
because it’s done Lord
I am now a man
under your
full authority
