Lord, awaken my soul…my every instrument

This morning I was on a prayer call for Fullness and Psalm 108: 1-4 came across my heart:

“My heart, O God, is steadfast;

I will sing and make music with all my soul.

Awake, harp and lyre!

I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;

I will sing of you among the peoples.

For great is your love, higher than the heavens;

your faithfulness reaches to the skies.”

Lord, I just pray today to give you everything I have

of course through your strength and your goodness

Lord, I never want to go through the motions

I don’t want to just praise with words

I want you to have my whole heart

every part of my soul

every part of my being in praise

You are a God who lavishes His love on us

so I can only do the same back to you Lord

As David, said “awake, harp and lyre!”

Wake me up Lord…

Wake up my creativity for you

Wake up the artist in every person

Keep us all singing songs of about your Heavenly name

But not just singing with our voice

Singing with the fullness of our hearts and souls

Yes Lord, from the depths of our souls

We exalt you Lord

We exalt you Lord

“your faithfulness reaches to the skies”

so our hearts today reach to your skies

our problems and things of the world fall away

as we run to your heavens…and you are higher

higher than the heavens

wow Lord wow!

Today and everyday let us

“ponder the loving deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 107:43)

I will sit with your loving deeds Lord…today and everyday

singing your name, praising your name and awakening

all our instruments and gifts you gave us

to point the world back to you

to glorify you

shouting to the mountaintops

Our Lord God is so good to us!

He is faithful, gentle and kind

He always keeps his word

Jesus, in my life and everyday

You will always be Lord!!!

Amen! Amen! Amen!
